The religious cults have an important role in society. The Romanian society manifests its belief in God on a large scale. Almost 99% of the population declared as believers. Almost 90% are Orthodox Christians. Therefore the Fundamental Law should include provisions related to this reality. This would not be a novelty, because there are numerous countries in which the dominant religion is mentioned in the body of the Constitution. These provisions would help to safeguard the real values of society in distress. Moreover, The Romanian Constitution from 1866 had mentioned the Orthodox-Christian religion as being the dominant one. The Romanian State has and must have a good cooperation with all recognized cults.
